Claude Vincent Gillard OAM died on 3 August 2020.
As a tribute to Claude's legacy, this website is a reconstruction of the original Labertouche Skydivers website set up by Claude to document the history of his drop zone at Labertouche in Victoria, Australia. It also documents Claude's personal and shared memories of the early days of parachuting and skydiving in Australia. The site is maintained and sponsored by the Australian Parachute Federation. Although the site is incomplete, as faithfully as possible, it has been recreated using archive material from the Internet Archive. The look and feel of the site is as originally designed by Thom Lyons in 2001 and as changed and updated by Claude and others over the years. Any suggested corrections or notification of incorrect links should be sent to labertoucheskydivers@gmail.com. Typos in the original site have been corrected where found, but other than that, the site is pretty much what it originally was. Email us at: labertoucheskydivers@gmail.com
